Houston roofing · Storm, hail & full replacement
Your roof took a Houston beating.
Hail, hurricane wind, and 100-degree summers wear a roof out faster here than almost anywhere. We climb up, document what's actually happening, and give you a written assessment — whether that means a repair, a replacement, or nothing at all this year.
Storm hit your roof?
Get it documented before you file.
A claim is only as strong as its evidence. We photograph the damage properly and meet your adjuster at the property.

Free inspection
Photos and a written assessment, yours to keep.
Price before we start
Decking rate included, so nothing is a surprise.
Honest about your roof
If it has years left, that's what we'll tell you.
No deductible games
We never waive or cover it. That's insurance fraud.
What we do
Roofing work, done by people who own Houston property themselves.
Texas Homes REI has been buying and rehabbing Houston houses since 2018. We started roofing because we got tired of what the contractors we hired were putting on them.

Full roof replacement
Architectural shingle, metal, or tile. We tear off to the deck, replace rotten decking, and show you photos of what was underneath before it gets covered again.
Storm & hail damage
Wind-lifted shingles, hail bruising, and the damage that isn't visible from the ground. We document it properly so it holds up with an adjuster.
Leak repair
Finding the actual entry point, which is often nowhere near the stain on your ceiling. Flashing, valleys, boots, and penetrations.
Roof inspections
Free, and you get the photos whether or not you hire us. Useful before a storm claim, a sale, or an insurance renewal.
Gutters & drainage
Houston rain volume is the real test. Gutters, downspouts, and getting water far enough away from the foundation to matter.
Emergency tarping
After a storm, stopping the water is the first job. We tarp to protect the interior while the claim and the schedule get sorted out.

Why a property owner runs this
We’ve been the customer on the other end.
Texas Homes REI has been buying, rehabbing, and renting Houston houses since 2018. That means we’ve hired a lot of roofers — and paid for the decking “surprises,” the missed flashing, and the crews that left nails in the driveway.
The roofing side exists because we wanted it done the way we’d want it on our own properties. Which, often, it literally is.
Storm & insurance
What we will and won’t do on your claim.
After every Houston hail storm, roofers knock on doors offering to “handle the whole claim” and “take care of” your deductible. Both can land you in real trouble. Here’s the line we hold, every time.
We will
- Inspect and photograph the damage in detail.
- Write a scope you can hand straight to your carrier.
- Meet your adjuster at the property and walk the roof with them.
- Do the work to the scope that gets approved.
We won’t
- File or negotiate your claim — that’s public adjusting, and it needs a license we don’t hold.
- Cover, waive, or rebate your deductible. It’s insurance fraud in Texas.
- Call a roof totaled when it isn’t.
How it works
Five steps. No mystery, no surprises.
Request your inspection
Send the address or call. We'll schedule a time that works around you — or your tenant.
We get on the roof
Not a glance from the driveway. We walk it and photograph the valleys, flashing, boots, and decking line.
Written assessment and price
What we found, what it needs, and what it costs — including our decking rate, in writing, before anything starts.
Your adjuster, if it's a storm claim
We meet your adjuster at the property and walk the roof with them. You file and you decide; we document.
Install day and final walkthrough
Tear-off, decking repair, install, magnetic nail sweep, and a walkthrough with you before we leave.

Straight answers
What homeowners ask us first
Does the inspection really cost nothing?+
Yes, and you keep the photos and the written assessment even if you never hire us. If the roof has years left in it, we will tell you that — a roof you do not need is not a sale we want.
Will you handle the insurance claim for me?+
We will document the damage thoroughly, meet your adjuster at the property, and explain what we found. What we will not do is file the claim for you or negotiate on your behalf — in Texas that crosses into public adjusting, which requires a license we do not hold. Any roofer who offers to do it for you is either licensed for it or breaking the law.
Will you cover my deductible?+
No. Waiving, absorbing, or rebating a deductible is insurance fraud in Texas and it is a crime for both of us. If a contractor offers this, walk away — it tells you exactly how they handle everything else.
How long does a replacement take?+
Most Houston single-family roofs are a one-day tear-off and install, weather permitting. Bigger or steeper roofs run two to three. We tell you the realistic day count before you sign, not after.
What if you find rotten decking once you tear off?+
We photograph it, show you, and price it before replacing it. Decking is the most common surprise on a Houston roof and the most common place a homeowner gets an unexplained charge — you will see ours in advance.
Do you work with tenants or rental properties?+
Often. Texas Homes REI owns rentals, so scheduling around a tenant and keeping the property livable during the work is routine for us rather than an inconvenience.

Texas Homes REI Roofing is a roofing contractor and is not a licensed public adjuster. We do not file, negotiate, or settle insurance claims on your behalf, and nothing on this site promises that a claim will be approved. Texas law prohibits a contractor from paying, waiving, or rebating an insurance deductible. Photography is illustrative.
